Melody Hawkins King

Melody Hawkins King, 65, went home to the Lord Thursday, June 7 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Formerly of Greenville, TN, she is preceded in death by her father, Guy Hawkins, and survived by her mother Nan Hawkins, her two sisters Tena Hawkins Huckleby and Dawn Hawkins Brown, her first husband Phillip King and their two children Nicholas King and Ashley King Leone, her grandchildren Samantha King, Lane King, and Valentino Leone, and her second husband David Bettis. Funeral services will be held at Central Church of God in Charlotte, NC Saturday June 9 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center on Melody's behalf.
