Michael Ray Davis

Michael Ray Davis’ soul was called home on December 28, 2023, after a brief illness. He was born in Charlotte, NC on May 1, 1952. Mike is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Dorothy Davis, and Granddaughter Kendall Davis.  He is survived by his wife Vonda (Vonni) of 32 years, Sons Jeremy (Meredith), Matthew (Lindsey), Benjamin (Mollye), his Sister Merrilyn (Robert Joyner), Niece Dana Joyner, Nephew Marc Joyner (Samantha), and his eight Grandchildren Mallory, Bailey, Christian, Peyton, Wyatt, Eli, Ryan, and Charlotte. 

Mike spent most of his life in the Charlotte area and spent over 50 years working in the furniture industry which included owning his own business, Mike’s Furniture Repair.  

Those of us fortunate enough to have Mike Davis in our lives on any level experienced a truly wonderful man. Spending time with Mike would certainly include listening to his melodic voice telling tales of fishing trips. Mike enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He liked to share memories of special times in his life with the ones close to him.  Being around Mike magically made the world slow down and made your heart feel full.  He was one of those special people you hear about, who would do anything for anyone. Mike was one of those rare souls who after spending time with them leave you feeling that the world is truly a good place with good people.  He inspired people to be kind and good.  Mike was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, and friend.  Forever when Mike is remembered, it will be with positive thoughts of love and peace.

A private memorial service will be held to celebrate Mike’s life.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your charity of choice.
