Mildred Haigler Williams

Ms. Mildred Haigler Williams, 82, formerly of Charlotte, surrounded by her family, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, May 5, 2012. A native of Charlotte, she met the love of her life, Charlie Williams in the second grade. They were married September 18, 1947. She is preceded in death by Charlie, as well as two of her children, Preston and Tammy; her brother Paul Haigler; and sister, Evelyn Haigler. Mildred was a dedicated member of East Calvary Baptist Church for many years. She retired from Carolinas Medical Center in 1986; however, her work didn't stop there. Mildred was always giving her time to take care of others, but the most important thing in Mildred's life was her love for her Savior and her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her immediate family includes her two sons, Steve and wife, Diane ,James and wife, Jill; five grandchildren, Michelle Stegall, Michael Williams, Mandy Stophel, Beth Kluttz,and Carrie Mann; ten great grandchildren, Anthony Blackwell, Tamara Stegall, Amber Williams, Madison, Morgan, Thomas, and Miley Stophel, Kylie and Lexi Kluttz, and Katie Mann; sisters, Betty Vita and Yvonne Morton, and brother, Calvin Haigler. -
