Nancy Lynn Stinson, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, cherished friend, and dedicated caregiver, passed away on May 27, 2024 at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center. Born on July 16, 1962, Phillipsburg, New Jersey, Nancy leaves behind a legacy of love and that will forever be remembered by those whose lives she touched.
Nancy’s career spanned over 15 years at the Goddard school, where her faithfulness and compassion endeared her to both her coworkers and the families of the children under her care. She was known for her unwavering dedication and close relationships with all those around her.
Beyond her professional life, Nancy found joy in simple pleasures such as gardening, beachcombing at Myrtle Beach with her loved ones, and enjoying meals at Red Lobster. Her enthusiasm for nature extended to driving through the mountains to witness the vibrant colors of the changing leaves—an activity she relished with her friends and late deceased husband. She also enjoyed attending church Sunday services at Steel Creek Church of Charlotte where she worshiped to her favorite songs.
A graduate of high school, Nancy's proudest accomplishments were reflected in her bountiful garden and meticulously cared-for yard. Her hard work and passion shone through in every flower and plant she nurtured.
Described as a wonderful and loving mother by her children Michael ryder ,Erin Ryder, Naomi Esperanza, ; grandchildren Lily Esperanza, Michael Ryder Jr., Anthony James Ryder , Virginia Ryder; Nancy's selflessness extended beyond her family to all who knew her. Her kindhearted spirit and unwavering faith brought comfort and solace to those in need, as she shared the love of God with everyone she encountered.
Despite facing challenging circumstances towards the end of her life due to intense surgeries that ultimately led to cardiac arrest, Nancy fought bravely for four weeks showing immense strength till the end.
As we mourn the passing of Nancy Lynn Stinson, let us also celebrate the profound impact she had on our lives. Her memory will live on in our hearts as we remember her infectious laughter, caring nature, and boundless love. May she rest in peace knowing that she was deeply cherished and will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
Services will be held at Steel Creek Church of Charlotte on W. Arrowood Rd., Charlotte, NC 282718 on June 3, 2024 at 6 PM the church will be open to receiving family and friends and you are at 5 PM.
