Richard Paul "Dick" Knieriemen

Richard ("Dick") Paul Knieriemen, 78, of Lancaster, SC. died Monday, July 30, 2018. Born in Rahway, NJ, Mr. Knieriemen served in aviation with Wycliffe Bible Translators for 37 years and spent an 8-year term in Papua New Guinea. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Diana, and his daughters Debbie Russell (with husband Kevin) and Dana Peifer (with husband Matt), as well as his sister Dorothy Dodson. He is also survived by six grandchildren-Brayden Russell, Peyton Russell, Hadley Russell, Nathan Peifer, Rachel Peifer, and Joseph Peifer. A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 3 pm in the JAARS Townsend Auditorium 7405 JAARS Rd, Waxhaw, NC 28173. The family will receive friends after the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to JAARS (Wycliffe Bible Translators) in support of "Transportation Solutions" (because of Dick's love for Aviation) or the "Pacific Initiative" (because of his love for Papua New Guinea). -
