Ruth R. Allred

Ruth Robinson Allred, 90, of Charlotte, passed away peacefully at her home March 20, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Rev. C.E. Allred, brothers Charles Robinson and Paul Robinson of Charlotte, and a sister, Naomi Thomas of Asheboro. Ruth was born January 20, 1923, in Belmont, NC, the daughter of the late Rev. Denton R. Robinson and Beulah Bass Robinson. Ruth and her late husband were very active in the Church of God. During their life together they were pastors to seven churches in North Carolina, served as missionaries in the Bahamas and Trinidad. Rev. Allred was State Overseer of Hawaii for many years. Survivors include her brothers, Buddy Robinson and wife, Tyree, of Lake Norman and Phillip Robinson and wife, Wanda, of Charlotte; sisters, Rachel Herron and husband, Ken, of Calhoun, GA, and Shirley Jean Shuford of Charlotte; sisters-in-law, Frances Robinson and Carolene Robinson, both of Charlotte; seven nieces and nephews.
