Sarah Shinn

Sarah Ellen Robinson Shinn was born on February 29, 1924 in Belmont, North Carolina.  She passed on March 6, 2023 in her home surrounded by her loved ones in Charlotte, NC.  

Sarah was born to Claude Sample Robinson and Martha Clendening.  Sarah married Cliff Junior Shinn on December 24, 1947.  They raised 4 sons, Daniel, Gary, Joel, and Timothy, and one daughter, Amy.  She was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served a mission for her church in Sacramento, California, where she was able to teach many people about Jesus Christ.  She was devoted to the care and service of other people for her entire life.  At one time, within a period of 18 months, she made 200 dresses for needy people.  She cared for her family every day of her life.          

Sarah is survived by 4 of her children, Daniel, Joel, Amy, and Timothy, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was proceeded in death by her parents, siblings, her son, Gary, and her granddaughter, Lynn.  She was loved by many and will truly be missed.  

The family will receive visitors on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 10 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 3020 Hilliard Drive, Charlotte, NC 28205.
