Sarah Elizabeth Winecoff Carter, 84, of Charlotte, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Monday, May 2, 2011. She is preceded in death by her husband, David B. Carter, Sr. A native of Charlotte, her immediate family includes her four children, David B. Carter, Jr. and his wife, Cathi, of Dacula, GA, Kenneth R. Carter and his wife, Nancy, of E. Lincoln County, NC, Lynn C. Wendling and her husband, Tom, of Charlotte, and Gary L. Carter and his wife, Kelly, of E. Lincoln County, NC; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
