Scott Thomas Kennedy

Scott Thomas Kennedy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.  He left this world when the Lord called him home on November 20, 2023 at age 76.

He was born on November 28, 1946 in Kingsville, TX, but grew up in Fort Dodge, IA.  After graduating from Pamer College in Davenport, IA, he established a practice in Biloxi, MS as a Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine.  He eventually moved back to Iowa to assist his father in managing HT Kennedy Distribution.  Scott later became a regional manager for HD Supply until his retirement.  Upon retirement, he moved to Indian Trial, NC to be close to family and nearly year round golf opportunities.

 Scott charmed everyone he met with his positive attitude and infectious smile.  He loved to tell stories and always had a good joke on deck, ready to go.  He loved his family and friends and was very generous with his time, always willing to help if needed.  To make a long story short, as Scotty would often say, he will be missed dearly by all of the lives he has touched.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Cari, and his three children, Chad, Heather, and Rene.  Scott will also be remembered by his six grandchildren, Max, Olivia, Brayton, Halle, Kaitlin, and Chloe, and by his sister Karol.

There will be a celebration of Scott's life on December 12 at 11:00 AM, located at Morning Star Lutheran Church - 12509 Idlewild Road, Matthews, NC. An additional service is planned for January in Fort Dodge, IA.
