She was born in Dayton, Ohio, and was the daughter of John Mason and the late Beverly Kay Stewart Mason. Her immediate family includes her children, Ricky Lee McNier and his wife, Nancy, and Johnny Lee McNier and his wife, Amanda; her sister, Sylvia Mason; three grandchildren, William, Nathaniel, and Amaya McNier. -
