Sharon N. Mann

December 3, 1952 — December 1, 2013

Sharon Neighbors Mann, of Charlotte, went home to be with the Lord on December 1, 2013, at the Levine & Dickson Hospice House. She was 60 years old. Sharon was born in Dunn, NC, daughter of John Milburn Neighbors and Mary Elizabeth Neighbors. Sharon is survived by her loving daughter, Jessica Mann Link and son-in-law, Kevin Link as well as five siblings: Carolyn Hodges and husband John, Emma Jean Shackleford, Elaine Register and husband Dan, John Neighbors, and Larry Neighbors and wife Charlotte. She is predeceased by her brothers Robert Neighbors and Ronald Neighbors. Sharon had a long career at Ferguson, a Wolseley Company, as a team leader and inspiration to many. Sharon's Christian faith was an integral part and driving force in her life. Since moving to Charlotte in 1997, Sharon spent many hours at Carmel Baptist Church enjoying the fellowship of many friends. She thrived on being available and welcoming to all of her loving neighbors. Her "pay it forward" attitude and generous spirit were obvious as friends and family gathered the last few days sharing laughter, stories and tears. Sharon was an inspiration to every person she touched during her lifetime. Her generosity and love were boundless. Her encouragement and strong Christian faith have changed the lives of everyone who knew her. * In lieu of flowers, it is the family's wish that donations be made to either Carmel Baptist Church or to Levine & Dixon Hospice House. -
