John Timothy Biggers ended a well-fought 15-year battle with congestive heart failure on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, peacefully in the comfort of the home he built, surrounded by his loved ones. Until his very last breath, he loved the N.C. State Wolfpack, Bruce Springsteen, being outdoors, and his three girls. In his twitter bio, he described himself as a battery-powered golfer, professional precision grass mower, ancient Wolfpacker and keeper of #hurricanecindy, his wife of nearly 42 years. In addition to wife Cindy, he is also survived by their two daughters, Lauren and Lindsay, as well as his brother Jim and sister-in-law Stephanie, their two daughters Kate and Megan, sister Beth and her son Justin, and Andy, Trey, Kate, Anderson, Wyatt, Noah, Riley and Susannah. Services will be held on Friday, June 8th at Bethel United Methodist Church in Midland, N.C. Visitation will take place from 2-3 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall, followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m. in the Sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Access to Success in his honor. To me there are three things everyone should do every day. Number one is to laugh. Number two is to think - spend some time in thought. Number three is you should have your emotions move you to tears. If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that's a full day. That's a heck of a day. You do that seven days a week, and you're going to have something special. - Jim Valvano, N.C. State head men's basketball coach
