Vanessa Dale Parker Culp, 58, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away October 6, 2012, in Huntersville, North Carolina, while in the loving care of the staff of the Levine & Dickson Hospice House. Vanessa Dale Culp, was born on May 30, 1954 in Charlotte, NC. Vanessa graduated from Myers Park High School in 1972 and attended Barber-Scotia College. She taught Early Childhood Education for 30 years (Bethlehem Center, Charlotte Mecklenburg School System, LifeSpan Circle School). Vanessa will be most remembered for her devotion to her family and friends, her gift of compassion and caring, and her ability to spread joy and laughter. She was known for her ease of frequent conversation, generosity, entertaining sense of humor and contagious smile. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and simple disposition that won the trust and hearts of many whom were changed by her nurturing love. Her signature gift of joy was exhibited through her constant smiling, laughter, and joking around that will never be forgotten. Vanessa was an educated woman with a real zest for life and moral sense of integrity. She loved to teach, dance, entertain and spend time with her grandchildren. Her immediate family includes her beloved daughter Zaneta P. Simpson (Robert), Grandchildren; Kyndal, Parker & Pierce, Brothers; Grady & Alonzo Parker; and host of nieces, nephews, family members and close friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Andre Culp, Mother; Hattie Bell Parker, Grandparents; Eugene & Bessie Guy, Brother; Donnie G. Parker. The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers and support in many heart-felt forms. - -
