Veronica McNally

May 16, 1938 — March 4, 2022

Veronica “Roni” McNally passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord at home, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Detroit, MI to Pearl and Joseph Ladach. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband Joseph Przywara and her niece Danielle Roelandt. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 59 years, Ralph McNally and her 5 children, Joseph (Nancy), Roni Jo Ramsey (Bud), Colleen Quaresima (Ralph), Robert (Eva) and David (Stephanie) and her sisters, Joan Roelandt and Paulette Ladach. Veronica was blessed to have many grandchildren: Katie, Joe, Christian, Kevin, Steve, Christopher, Alyssa, Dalton, Michael, John, Jamie, Daria, Liam, Buddy, Chrissy and her great granddaughter Annalynne. She was also loved by her many nieces and nephews.

Ralph and Veronica both attended Wayne State University when they met. He likes to say he went for his BS but got his MR instead! They had a wonderful life together full of love and laughter. They shared many interests, especially travel. They explored most of the US by RV. Hawaii was their favorite and most frequently visited state, obviously not in an RV.

Veronica was creative, a go-getter and full of energy.  While raising 5 small children she was busy as a den mother, making costumes for Halloween and school plays and planning parties. After moving to Randolph, NJ in 1972, she continued her education at St Elizabeth University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree. Later she earned her Master's Degree from Rutgers University. Putting her education to good use, she was a dietitian in New Jersey and later in Florida.

Moving to Marco Island FL was Veronica and Ralph’s dream. Although “retired” Veronica stayed very active.  She had a thriving Mary Kay business, worked at Kay’s on the Beach, and was a member of Marco Island Foundation of the Arts. She was a devoted Catholic and a prayer warrior. As a member of San Marco Catholic Church, she was a cantor and sang in the choir. Some of her favorite hobbies were reading, singing, swimming, art appreciation and socializing with friends and family.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday, March 16th, 2022,  at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 13700 Lawyers Rd, Mint Hill, NC
