Victor Vincent Vescere

June 5, 1957 — March 28, 2019

Victor Vincent Vescere of Charlotte, NC passed away on March 28, 2019, after a brief illness.

Vic was born on June 5, 1957 in Patterson, CA. He was raised in Crows Landing, CA where he attended Bonita Elementary School and was an all-star pitcher at Orestimba High School.

He was a Sergeant of the United States Air Force. After his military service, he went on to work for Dixie Electric Nightclub in Dayton, OH and later transferred to open and manage a new location in Charlotte, NC. Finally, he worked as a postal employee for the last 37 years in Charlotte, NC.

He was loved by many and touched the hearts of all he met. He wanted to be able to say a loving goodbye to all he knew but, unfortunately, his body would not allow him the time he needed to say goodbye to each of you. However, the one thing he wanted to be able to tell each of you was "remember the laughs."

Vic is survived by his mother, Helyn Vescere, of Turlock, California; sister Mary Zontine (Dennis), of Turlock, California; two nieces, Melissa Ventura (Jim), of Gustine, California, and Michelle Ceniceros (Veronica), of Hughson, California; and five great-nieces and nephews: Nicholas, Natalie and Luke Ventura and Juliana and Maddox Ceniceros.

He is also survived by his dear friend Sheena Scurlock of Charlotte, NC and his three bonus children Sean Scurlock (Judi) of Matthews, NC, Rorie Scurlock (Steve) of Decatur, GA, and Cali Huffstickler of Arvada, CO and bonus grandchild Ellis Fogleman of Decatur, GA. He proved you don't have to have a traditional family to be a great family man.

Vic is preceded in death by his father Jim Vescere and bonus dog Mork Scurlock.

His Celebration of Life in North Carolina will be held at the VFW located at 100 VFW Lane, Indian Trail, North Carolina 28079, on May 5, 2019 at 3:00 PM. Please wear your favorite sports jersey or t-shirt. It does not matter what sport, team or player.
