Vincent Charles Marino

Vincent Charles Marino, 85, of Matthews, North Carolina, passed away Tuesday afternoon, June 19, 2018. Mr. Marino was born October 11, 1932, in Jersey City, New Jersey, and was the son of Frank Marino and Rose Frega Marino. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Remeniski Marino. His immediate family includes two daughters, Marianne Sherrier and Caroline Danisi; his sister, Catherine Massa; and grandchildren, George Sherrier, Raymond Sherrier, Vincent Sherrier, Anthony Danisi, and Jordan Danisi. Vincent lived in Brick, NJ before moving to Indian Trail, NC. He retired as a Flight Mechanic and worked at Hanger 5 at Lakehurst Naval Air Base. He served 4 years with the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1960. Vincent's hobbies were woodworking and later in life he enjoyed gardening. He has helped supervise a garden at his residence in Carrington place, where his tomato plants thrived with his loving care. A committal service will be held on July 5, 2018 at 11:00am at Saint Mary's of the Lake in Lakewood, NJ. -
