In his free time, Tom was an avid outdoorsman. Tom loved the mountains of West Virginia, and would spend precious time hunting turkey and deer, and floating and fishing in the New River. Some of his favorite moments were spent sitting around a campfire with family and friends singing songs and telling stories. Tom was also an amazing musician, playing drums and percussion in bands throughout the early 50’s and 60’s.Even in his later years, Tom would spend hours entertaining friends and guests sitting behind his favorite drum kit.

He also served during Communion services, local church mission projects, and he shared the love of Christ through a joyful smile, and a true servant heart.
More than anything, Tom was a devoted husband and father. He was married to his high school sweetheart for 57 years. He loved spending time with his daughters, and his grandchildren teaching them about life, and the outdoors that he loved so much.
