William H. Dreer

William Henry Dreer, 89, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away May 8, 2014. He is preceded in death by his step son, William Ward. Mr. Dreer was born March 31, 1925, in Baltimore, Maryland. He was the son of the late Albert Dreer and Margaret Thompson Dreer. During World War II, he served in the 339th Field Artillery Battalion as a radio operator technician. Following the war, he was a fireman with the Baltimore City Fire Department. His immediate family includes his children, Tom Dreer and his wife, Jane, Albert Dreer and his wife, Gail, George Dreer, Tim Dreer and his wife, Teresa, Patrick Dreer and his wife, Alyson, and Mark Dreer and his wife, Lisa; sixteen grandchildren and many more great grandchildren. -

Service Extra Info Family and friends will meet at the National Cemetery in Salisbury, North Carolina. Services, with full military honors, will be held at the pavilion at the center of the cemetery. Services will begin promptly at 1:00pm on Thursday, May 14, 2014.
